Title: Fruit Bowl
Medium:Pencil, Sharpie, and Colored Pencil
My artwork is a drawing of a fruit bowl surrounded by zentangles . I first outlined my fruit bowl with pencil, then I filled it in with colored pencil, and dotted with sharpie where there was shade, after that I put in zentangles for a back ground.I made my zentangles by using lots of pattern, and used lots of color on my fruit bowl.I created this piece because we were learning about zentangles and shading in my class . I’m overall pretty proud of my art, but I do feel like my work looks like it’s leaning a little.

Title: Toucan
Medium: Tempera Paint and Brown Paper
My artwork is a bright colored toucan. The element of art that is the most obvious is the bright colors. To make it : I drew it with pencil, traced with sharpie, and painted with tempera paint. Amate bark paintings from Mexico inspired me to do my work. Bark paintings are made by painting bright images on brown paper. I overall think my artwork could use more work , but I did my best .

Title: Day of the Dead Paper Mache
Medium: Newspaper,Goop, and Paint.
My Day of the Dead mask looks like a skull, and is bright painted ombre. I made my mask by first, putting ripped newspaper in goop, and gently taking off the excess goop. Then, I put newspaper on top of a plastic face {it’s like a mold} ,until there is around 4-5 layers, and let it dry. After that you take a plain piece of newspaper, and put it on the face like the other newspaper pieces and, when that dries, paint over it with white paint. Last, when the white paint has dried you may start decorating. The element that I see the most is a rainbow of bright colors. My art was inspired by Mexico’s Day of the Dead. I’m pretty proud of my mask, but I feel that it looks a little boring.
